Ginés Serrán-
Nace en Ceuta, España.
Reside en Nueva York desde 1972.
Estudia Antropología y Arqueología en la Universidad de Nueva York (Masters, 1976; Doctorado, 1980).
Aunque desde su llegada a los Estados Unidos mantiene contactos con los indios norteamericanos, reivindicando sus derechos, a partir de 1982 se dedica enteramente a su causa. Trabaja, escribe y da conferencias, sobre la situación social y humana de la población india de América. Vive con diferentes tribus, principalmente la sioux (lakota), y con el Movimiento Indio Americano, en las Colinas Negras Sagradas, en el campamento Trueno Amarillo (Dakota del Sur), y participa en sus ceremonias religiosas. Es nombrado asesor de las Naciones Unidas para temas indígenas, y crea proyectos para reducir la mortalidad infantil, mejorando las condiciones humanas de los niños indígenas en el continente americano. Su apartamento de Nueva York se convierte en el paradero de los líderes indios que frecuentan las Naciones Unidas.
Inspirado por su experiencia con el pueblo indio norteamericano, comienza a pintar en 1983.
